This Privacy Policy describes how Prajwal S Pattanshetti, sole proprietor trading as ResumeRight ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the website resumeright.co.in and the services offered through it.

We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, along with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Contact details — name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, when you submit a lead, sign up, or contact support.
• Resume content — files (PDF / DOC / DOCX) and the parsed text extracted from them, when you upload a resume for scanning, optimisation, or rewriting.
• Job target information — job titles, target roles, or job descriptions you share for ATS matching.
• Account information — password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash; we never see the plaintext) and account preferences.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment partner Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, UPI IDs, or banking credentials on our servers.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, time spent, referrer, device and browser type, approximate location (city / region from IP).
• Cookies and similar technologies — for session management, analytics (Google Analytics 4), and behavioural insights (Microsoft Clarity).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver the resume-scanning, optimisation, and review services you request.
• To process payments via Razorpay and issue receipts.
• To contact you about your order, scan results, account, or support tickets.
• To improve the product, debug issues, and prevent abuse / fraud.
• To send marketing communications about new features, offers, or referral programmes — only where you have not opted out.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary:

• Razorpay Software Private Limited — to process payments in compliance with RBI guidelines.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — for hosting, file storage (S3), and content delivery (CloudFront), within the AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) region.
• MongoDB Atlas — for database storage of accounts, leads, and order metadata.
• Google LLC (Analytics) and Microsoft Corporation (Clarity) — for aggregated analytics and session-recording insights, configured to mask sensitive form fields.
• Government, regulatory, or law-enforcement authorities — when required by valid legal process under Indian law.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. You may request deletion at any time by writing to us at the email address below.

5. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India once it is constituted under the DPDP Act, 2023.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS / TLS for all traffic, bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based authentication, server-side rate limiting, AWS-managed key storage, restricted S3 bucket access, and a least-privilege IAM model. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

7. Children

ResumeRight is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that we have done so, we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site.
